housing browsing POSTED AT 07:11 PM stuff is exciting in our lives. heidi and i are excited to buy a house next year. She has been doing some research, and we share opinions on houses she finds during the work day. Super productive right? The current controversy is between buying with a Raleigh address and having a place similar in size to our current apartment. Orrrr, buying in a suburb type town like Morrisville, Knightdale or Garner and getting a monster McMansion (2x our apt) for the same price... maybe i'll poll facebook for some opinions since no one reads this blog. so yea, time to start saving like fools for 12-14 months. we've been trying to pay down debt over the last couple years, but that may have to slow down a bit as we try to afford our own plot of land. hollaaaa |

hi-yo! POSTED AT 10:35 PM sunday sunday sunday...
a coworker's baby shower, a birthday party for Betty... my yearly shopping trip for some new clothes.... dinner with mom. all fun stuff, very productive and enjoyable. This year I'm going to take Good Friday off! I've worked the last few years and gotten a free vacay day for it, but not this time. Time for a nice three day weekend to really kick off the spring me-thinks. gotta get this week started off right with a good nights sleep. somehow i need to convince the wifey to separate herself from her computer.... maybe subtle hint #5 will work? ok no no, time to ask plaintively repeatedly.

We have Fridge Bandits, People. POSTED AT 10:01 PM Yes, you heard correctly folks, We have Fridge Bandits at my work. Supposedly our Fridge at work is cleaned weekly. There are items in there that have been chillin (har!) for several months at least....I left pasta in this Fridge over the weekend, but came in to work on Monday expecting to eat it... BUT NO! GONE! Jess also had a mysterious disappearing 2 liter soda. (dismay!) I can only fathom two possible scenarios regarding this Fridge behavior: A. Someone is actually cleaning the Fridge, but decides that the 3 month old half-consumed blue cheese dressing, FROZEN half gallon of milk, several week old GALLON of OJ, and random BROWN stains on the shelving are perfectly acceptible. or.. B. SOMEONE is working late on Friday, and goes to the Fridge to see what they can dine on for a tasty late night meal! (my pasta and Jess' soda!) perhaps we will never know. BUT my coworkers and I have an evil plot to COOK all of the remaining food on Friday afternoon and share in the spoils. TAKE THAT. Listening to: Doves-Jetstream Feeling: chipper |

Fall 2008 POSTED AT 01:49 PM Hey its September!
- June - My sister has serious back surgery and emerges in good shape, still rehabbing to an extent. - Late July - Trip out west with family and Heidi to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park (pictures on Facebook). Gorgeous scenery and good family fun. - September 1st - Heidi agrees to marry me on our 5 year dating anniversary. - Fall football has been decent so far with both of my teams struggling. H and I have season football tickets this year. The win over ECU was quality, hopefully we can find 4 more wins somewhere on the schedule. - Working for an investment bank in the wake of last week's events (Lehman and Merrill) is going to be interesting. Needless to say, we broke all of our records for trades in a day (back to back days), and I'm sure the long hours will continue for awhile.

wow, my gf rocks! POSTED AT 11:12 PM so Roy, you're gonna love this. (and possibly K-Tea, if you read anymore) part of my bday present from Heidi was a hardcopy of my tabulas from 2002-2003.... she got all the entries, comments, moods and music preferences. Ah, some solid night stand reading material of the year I met her <3 lol, i think her initial goal was to do it all, but 5 years of entries is definitely a large task. anyway, now its a physical jnl too :D
oh, and life is going pretty well, busy as hell, it seems like my entire being is in a state of change right now. perhaps more to come if i can sit down and write it. Feeling: touched |

i'm alive POSTED AT 04:02 PM No worries people, I'm alive and well. There really isn't too much going on in my life that's worth writing about. Yes, it is kinda sad, but hopefully there will be notable changes in the near future! So lets see, in the time since I last wrote a serious entry a few things have happened. Most importantly, Heidi and I successfully completed our break and have reunited. We're happy as can be and plan to move in together next May. Exciting stuff. Fall has been cruising along at work, nothing much to report there. I've been involved in a bunch of new projects, and am considered a point person in a few areas. There will be some changes in the near future and it will be interesting to see where they take me. More to come on that if I ever post again. Heidi, Jesse, Jess, Tate, Lindsey, Carla & I all went to the DIK house and then to Hillsborough st for Halloween. That was definitely a surprise. It was pretty hoppin and active, although it was maybe about 1/10th as big as Franklin st. If more places would be open and they would close at least part of the street, i could see this event becoming pretty big in the near future. Heidi was Little Red Riding Hood and I was the Big Bad Wolf (Tuffy, State mascot version) this year. Pictures are on Facebook! (tm). I'm pretty excited about the holidays this year. It should be a family-tastic Thanksgiving this year, with mine & Heidi's families in town. Heidi and I are also tentatively planning a vacation to New Hampshire to see her mom and stepdad right after Christmas. Some exciting snowmobiling & night skiing could ensue if we manage to get that idea to reality. NC State is having a come back second half of their football season, winning three in a row! I'm trying not to get too excited about the UNC game, because that will certainly lead to a miserable NCSU style collapse (as most usual). We've got tickets, so I'm going to calmly look forward to that one. I went up to Michigan to see them play Penn St. with my mom, went with Heidi to see them play Minnesota, and Jesse and I will go up for the Ohio St. game in two weeks. Good Stuff, and Go Blue in that one! and don't worry Roy, I won't betray Tabulas like Apu did. :-p hmm, time to go get some misc junk done before the pats vs the colts epic battle of the century ( or so the media will have us think). toodlers ps, rocking the professional beard these days, so i'm gonna go with the scruffy post pic.
