can my school pull off the impossible? POSTED AT 12:55 PM can the Wolfpack win four in a row in the ACCT? Everyone has thought that the team would be too fatigued each game after the first, but they have kept playing tough. Today will be the biggest test. Can we win our first ACC title in 20 years? To win we need some combination of the following to happen: a. 15 or less turnovers b. have 50% or greater field goal percentage c. make a lot of free throws d. slow down the game enough to run our offense through engin e. let the red jacket lead us to victory Feeling: giddy |

the new life POSTED AT 03:02 PM so i started my new life of working on the weekend today. I worked less than 3 hours, so it wasn't too bad. I was blasting music out of my work cpu speaker and I saw two people the entire time I was there. I'm all caught up for tomorrow though, and that's a good feeling heading into the new week. Last night we went to a Wine & Cheese party at Erin's place that was pretty entertaining. It was a small festive gathering that got progressively better proportionally with drunkeness levels. Congrats to her for throwing a fun party, and hopefully she does it again! I have Friday off this week and next Monday is President's (Allen's) Day. Fine, I'll admit it, I planned a 4 day birthday weekend for myself. And no, the new "working on weekends" life will NOT be applying to this coming weekend. or so i think, since i said that about this weekend too |

im going to write a quick tabulas POSTED AT 01:33 AM My bosses want me to come in more hours to finish some documentation work. They suggested weekends of course, much to my dismay. You can't really turn down the OT pay though, it is choice. The victory over unc on saturday elicited one big sigh of relief in Raleigh. Too bad we couldn't close out our 19-4 lead at the start of our game against GT tonight. 2 more wins for the NIT, 6 more wins and some help in the acc tourney to make the NCAAs, 7 games remaining. remember the title of this entry, i must go nowww Feeling: sleepy |

i'm alive POSTED AT 05:22 PM Everything is chugging along fine with the new year. Nothing intriguing to report. My work is still going well; my coworkers make the time pass quickly, thanks people! My department head went into great detail about his bowel movements in a meeting yesterday, that was pretty hilarious. Having a lazy saturday today...thinking about going to buy some new running shoes....... I'm going to have a four day weekend around my (and Tyrone's) birthday Feb 16-19, hopefully there should be some fun times on either saturday or sunday. I think Heidi and I might take a cruise after she graduates. Any recommendations on companies, destinations, dates, etc? We will prefer something tropical, possibly the Bahamas. i'll be sure to update if anything out of the ordinary happens.... Feeling: excited |

life with the wii POSTED AT 09:22 PM I don't know if I can get past the tragedy outlined in my previous entry....but here goes. There was this great paragraph describing how my family wasn't going to be too different this Christmas from previous years, except the inclusion of my grandparents. But my grandmother has a broken wrist which will prevent her from getting into my house. We're gonna go out to the Sheraton on Christmas day instead of celebrating with them at my house so my grandparents can spend some time with us. THEN I had this neat paragraph outlining how I hope I can get some more time off in future years around the holidays. Being low on the totem pole means I get last pick, but hopefully that will change for next year. This was filled with all kinds of insightful comments about life in the working world etc ( I couldnt hope to repeat them verbatim).. After that I followed with a brilliant segment describing the new job functions I have, and how I feel like its really increasing my value to my company.....which will hopefully lead to big things in the future. I think this part of my entry was superb, you really would have loved it. Then I discussed how my life has changed with the new Nintendo Wii that Tyrone and Tate went out of their way to acquire (they stayed up through the night last week to wait in line for one). Basically the new game system has advanced controls that sense movement in the controller (you hold a device in either hand). This is simply incredible when paired with a set of simple Wii Sports games that are included in the system (bowling, boxing, tennis, golf, baseball). In tennis for example, you swing the controller like a tennis racquet and the player on screen mimics your movements. Definitely revolutionary for a game system, everyone should come over and try it. Perhaps once I get over my entry-losing bitterness I will write a more comprehensive entry about its benefits. Anyway, my perfect entry had this great closing paragraph that summed everything up really well, but sorry folks I have no energy to reproduce that right now. Good night and Happy Holidays everyone!!!

thanksgiv POSTED AT 11:09 PM Hello world! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I had the opportunity to travel the state with my lovely girlfriend Ms. Heidi. We visited her grandparents in the mountains, her father in high point, and my mom's entire side of the family back in chapel hill. It was the second year in a row that my mom's family has gotten together for the holiday. Since my grandparents moved down south it has been the impetus needed to gather the family together. Even though my grandparents can barely keep up, it has been nice to see my aunts, uncles, and cousins once a year. I've been meaning to write about some stuff here and there, but in reality nothing has been incredibly exciting lately... Maybe I'll find my way back before Christmas...
